This site is a subsidiary of Show-n-Off Photography. Here we concentrate and specialize on railroad photography and gifts. Please visit our links as we have an Ebay store with an extensive line of Charles Smiley DVD's, the Gandy Dancers CD, and Railfan Photography.

We are an exclusive dealer for the Gandy Dancers CD, which is advertised on TrainWeb.com, Schraders Railroad Gifts, and Historic Rail. This CD was created for the love of railroading with none of the songs being cover songs. These songs have all been written about the history of railroads, or of La Plata's railroad history in general.

Here at Railfan's Friend we have a library of over 1,000 photos that range from Vintage to Modern day. Ninety-five percent of these photos have been taken by my wife and I. A few of these photos have been given to us by Family, and a few have been donated, namely the vintage items, for our collection. Please feel free to check out our store. Not all the photos are available for sale online, but do not hesitate to call or email if you are looking for a certain engine, or a certain place, you never know, we just might have it.  

We do a variety of custom items that make great gifts, or another decoration for your 'train room'. We can make coffee mugs, license plates, ornaments, and canvas wrap photos--some really neat ideas, other than your basic train print.

We also have the Chris Guenzler Million Mile commemorative photo that is exclusive to us. This milestone was achieved, ending in La Plata, Missouri and Chris is the only 'documented' person to achieve this. This is a must-have for those interested in Amtrak passenger rail travel or anything related to Railroad history.

We have created a set of eight postcards that help tell the story of the history, as well as, the present and the future of La Plata, Missouri.
